نجا الرئيس الصومالى حسن شيخ محمود من محاولة اغتيال اليوم السبت على يد حركة “الشباب” الإسلامية المتشددة، حسبما أفاد مسئولون عسكريون وقائد حركة الشباب. وذكر مسئولون عسكريون أن مسلحى حركة الشباب ذات الصلة بتنظيم القاعدة شنوا هجوما بقذائف الهاون على طائرة الرئيس لدى محاولتها الهبوط فى المطار فى بلدة باراوى جنوب البلاد. ولم تصب أى من القذائف الطائرة، وكانت الطائرة تقل الرئيس الصومالى وعددا من الوزراء، حيث كانوا يعتزمون زيارة باراوى بعدما استعاد الجيش مؤخرا السيطرة على البلدة من حركة الشباب.
وأعلن المسلحون مسئوليتهم عن الهجوم بعد فترة قصيرة من وقوعه. وقال قائد كبير فى حركة الشباب “نجا محمود بأعجوبة بعدما أطلق مسلحونا الشجعان قذائف هاون على طائرته بينما كانت تحاول الهبوط فى مطار باراوى. وكانت حركة الشباب، التى ترغب فى إقامة دولة إسلامية بالصومال، قد قتلت العشرات من مسئولى الحكومة هذا العام.
