مقديشو ( مركز مقديشو) أدلى الجيبوتيون ، أمس الجمعة، بأصواتهم في انتخابات نيابية يتوقع أن تعزز سلطة حزب الحاكم برئاسة الرئيس اسماعيل عمر جيله الذي يتولى منصبه منذ 1999.
انقسمت المعارضة حول هذه الانتخابات ، كما حصل في الانتخابات الرئاسية في 2016 التي فاز بها جيله بسهولة (86،68%) وقاطعها قسم من المعارضة، وهذا ما يتكرر مرة اخرى مع الانتخابات النيابية.
فحركة التجدد الديموقراطي والتجمع للعمل والديموقراطية والتنمية البيئية والتحالف الجمهوري للتنمية، قررت ألا تقدم اي مرشح. لكن احزابا معارضة أخرى اختارت المشاركة وان لم يكن لديها مرشحون إلا في بعض الاماكن: فالمركز الجيبوتي الديموقراطي الموحد في علي صبيح (جنوب)، والاتحاد من اجل الديموقراطية والعدالة-الحزب الجيبوتي للتنمية في جيبوتي المدينة، والفرع الآخر للتحالف الجمهوري للتنمية في تاجورا (وسط).
والحزب الحاكم (الاتحاد من اجل الاكثرية الرئاسية) ممثل في كل دائرة.
